Who we are

Civic Logistics Ltd (“Civic”, “we”, “us”) provides garage and property clearance services, including Garage Reset, in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Information we collect

Your name, email address and phone number.
Your postcode and the address of the property where the work is needed.
Details about your enquiry, booking and job, such as garage size, items, preferred dates, notes, our written price and job records.
Photographs you upload of your garage or property.
Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe; we receive confirmation of payment and limited details, but we do not see or store your full card number.
Cookie and technical information, such as your cookie choice, device and browser type, and basic usage information needed to run and secure the website.

How we use your information

To assess your request and prepare a written price.
To arrange, confirm and carry out your booking, including sharing necessary job details with our crew.
To take and verify payments through Stripe and keep proper financial records.
To send you service emails about your request, price, booking and job, using Google Workspace.
To send marketing or follow-up emails beyond a short reminder about your price only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To run, secure and improve the website.

Our lawful bases

Contract — to respond to your request, prepare a price and carry out a job you have booked.
Legal obligation — to keep financial and tax records.
Legitimate interests — to run our business, keep the website secure, handle complaints and send a short reminder about a price you requested.
Consent — for optional marketing emails and non-essential (advertising) cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who we share it with

Google Workspace — for business email.
Stripe — to process payments securely.
Lovable and its infrastructure partners — to host the website and store data.
Fulfilment partners — crew members, licensed waste carriers and recycling or disposal sites, only where needed to carry out your job.

We do not sell your personal information. We may also share information where required by law.

Your photographs

Photographs you upload are stored privately. They are only seen by authorised Civic staff to assess and carry out your job, and are never sent to website analytics or advertising platforms. We will not use them publicly without your separate permission.

Emails about your price

If we send you a written price, we may email you a short reminder about it. Further reminders and any updates about our services are only sent if you ticked the optional box on the request form. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time. We keep a record of what you agreed to, when, and the wording you saw.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that do not lead to a booking for around 24 months. We keep records of booked jobs, including payment records, for around 6 years to meet legal, tax and insurance requirements. We then delete or anonymise the information.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your information, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email adam@civiclogistics.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

Complaints to the ICO

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies and advertising

We use essential storage to run the site and remember your cookie choice. If you accept advertising cookies, we may use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland) and Google Ads tags (Google Ireland) to measure visits and enquiries from our adverts and to show our adverts to people who visited the site. We do not send your name, email, phone number, postcode, photos or notes to these platforms. These tags are not currently active. You can change your choice any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access limited to authorised staff and private storage for photographs.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
